Contract amendment SOW is for additional inspection/quality control in replacement of Easton Pump impellers.  The additional work is necessary for BPA program and contract staff to confirm that corrections made by CH2M Hill do, in fact, address the flow issues at the Easton site.  It is anticipated that this amendment for testing will conclude all work under this contract.

(Contract performance period is EXTENDED to August 30, 2005)

General

It is the intent of BPA to conduct a general assessment of the existing surface water pumping systems at the subject location. The goal of the assessment is to confirm water supply delivery for rearing and modified mid-column feeding systems. This will be based on original engineering design specifications and be consistent with the biological specifications. Each acclimation  (Easton and Clark Flat) site is required to have a flow of 840 gpm into each of six raceways, resulting in a total of pumping rate of 5040 gpm, or 2520 gpm for each pump.

Background

The services for this amendment would cover the following activities:

•  HDR|FishPro will conduct a site visit to the Easton acclimation site to inspect pump 1 for debris and observe installation of the pump screens and test the pumps.
•  HDR|FishPro will visit the site a second time if necessary to test pumps after piping vents have been installed.
•  HDR|FishPro will provide a letter report documenting the activities conducted.
•  HDR|FishPro will provide a quality control check on the final report.
•  HDR|FishPro will coordinate via email and phone with BPA and CH2M Hill on potential solutions to the problem.
